Clearing Boundaries. Embracing Your Inner Noble Gas. Intentional Relationships.

Updated: Feb 18

For my second wedding ceremony, the intention was based around a concept on the periodic chart! The group of gases called noble gases. For those who took chemistry, you likely remember the concept of covalent bonds where one atom has two extra or needs two electrons to "be stable." In his book "The Honeymoon Effect" by Bruce Lipton, he discusses this concept as it applies to personal relationships.

Gold is actually a "noble metal" but same thing, does not just go around oxidizing at the first challenge. :)

Imagine, if you will, an intimate relationship where each being takes responsibility for "being whole" before partnering up. With noble gases, when they encounter another noble gas, they create light. They can be seen powering neon signs creating many colors of glowing light.

The aim of our ceremony was to cultivate a relationship that "generated light." Our intention was not to cling to each other in a constant state of dependency, even though this may initially feel reassuring to some. Ideally, as we continuously grow and learn, such a fixed state would prevent both individuals and the relationship from truly shining and fostering genuine love, gratitude, and potential.

Funny enough, I was raised by a chemistry teacher, and this was not why I ended up with this as the basis for my second marriage. It was more of a spiritual goal, but the microcosm reflects the macrocosm "as above, so below" law of nature. So down to the tiny atoms, this law is available as a template.

We held a two-day ceremony. The first day was mainly with my meditation community, where we invoked divine masculine and feminine energies, followed by a group prayer and cleansing. A heart-shaped rock was passed around among my closest Soul family, with each person imparting blessings into the stone.

The second day was dedicated to immediate family and included a small ceremony in Marin County. Notably, among the twenty attendees were two aeronautical engineers, a mechanical engineer, and two chemical engineers. Although our union wasn't based on our "scientist" family background, sometimes life's story aligns perfectly.

Science, God, and our humanity can coexist when approached with humor and an open heart, in dialogue with the mind.

Before you assume that needing things and accepting help from others is problematic, I totally agree with you! We all require assistance (electrons? lol) from others; it's not intended to be a perpetual state of agreement, like being stuck in a three-legged race. Receiving the expert help we need to develop is essential to approaching the state of a "noble gas."

Where do you end and someone else begins? Seek energetic congruence.

Empowerment and growth to all timelines and all ages of ourselves. We hold ourselves for our own individual capacity while we participate in the partnership, the group.

It is my hope for my husband and I, (now 13 years married) and all of our humanity that we can encounter the people, information, and guidance that get us to the place of our best individual wholeness, so collective light, peace, and contentment. Sometimes, usually, always with some loud growing pains along the way.

Everything tends toward disorder. Law of Entropy. Energy is needed into a system to prevent disorder or "decay."
